Comment :
Handy when you want to connect something like your phone to a car radio (for example). Retractable is a lot more handy than ordinary messy cable.
That said, I am 'bluetoothing' anything I can (retrospectively), and doing away with the wires altogether. For devices that aren't bluetoothed this means buying a 'receiver' or 'transmitter' (depending on which way I want the signal to go). But this retractable stereo jack is my 2nd option.
Worth buying ? Yes
My preferred options for connecting devices (ignoring wifi) :
1. Bluetooth
2. Retractable cable
3. Typical cable
Bluetoothing retrospective (for electronics with 3.5mm jacks) :
This section is for if you want to 'bluetooth enable' devices that do not have bluetooth hardware installed (e.g. hifi)
If you want to send a signal from e.g hifi to Bluetooth headphones, your hifi needs s BLUETOOTH TRANSMITTER like this :
Amazon UK :
example bluetooth transmitter (ebay is better for this)
To enable the non-bluetooth device to receive a signal (e.g. phone to hifi )
Amazon UK :
example bluetooth receiver
